This gown is beautiful! However, I was heartbroken when I received it and it did not fit. My son turned 9 months old the day before it arrived, and the 9-12 month size would not even go over his head. Also, around the sleeves and button holes, there were little threads. It seemed to be made fairly well, but you don't expect to have to snip threads when you spend that much on a gown. The material seemed scratchy and I don't think he would have stayed in the gown without a fight if it had fit. However, if your baby wears an undergarment, I don't think that would be an issue. Overall, I would still recommend this gown because it is absolutely beautiful- just buy a bigger size than you normally would! My baby is longer than normal, but not bigger in size (chest, waist) or weight and it was still too tight. Also, buy a suitable undergarment to protect him from the scratchiness of the material, and it should work out great!

This gown was GORGEOUS - my 6-month son looked adorable in it and he got many compliments. The material was a touch scratchy but I found it tolerable for the short time he would be wearing it. It washes well in the machine on a delicate cycle. The cap fell off a lot as it was rather large but so cute anyway (when we could keep it on his head)! I was VERY happy with this purchase and found it to be a wonderful value. I hope this will become a family heirloom!

My son looked exactly as I had imagined for the day of his Baptism. We received many compliments on the Christening gown. It also washed up beautifully after the event. Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase.
